Deleted Scenes
WEBSITE FOR DELETED SCENES

I must have listened to D.C.'s Deleted Scenes' song "Fake I.D." a couple dozen times over the past few weeks and I still can't describe why I like it so much. Oh wait, it just came to me, that song straight up rocks.

But it doesn't rock in that thunderous-riff-neck-lash sort of way. No, this song reminds me of how I used to feel about emo circa 1994. Listening to this, I want to lift my chin to the cherubs in heaven and cry out, "Wherreeee isssss myyyyyyy lovvveeeee! I'mmmmm sooooo sorrrrrrryyyy!" or something like that.

Now just to be clear, Deleted Scenes isn't emo (I don't know what they are, and frankly don't care, I just know they ROCK), I'm just using emo as an analogy. An analogy to what, you may ask? I don't know... an analogy to caring about music again, maybe?

I don't even know who to compare these guys to either. They don't really sound like anyone, except everyone that RULES. And they kind of go all over the place, depending on the track. So can you do me a favor? Can you just listen to their songs on MySpace, or even better, see them live and tell me what you think? It would make my job a whole lot easier (if slobbering over Charleston Chews while writing grammatically incorrect music ramblings = "job").
