Camp Cope is a fantastic band from Melbourne, Australia.*

Call them emo. Call them pop. Call them punk. Call them rock. Call them great. Because that's what they are -- at least according to THIS DIY blob.

Bands generally don't like being compared to other bands so I'll refrain from doing that. Just kidding! I wouldn't want to let down any of the 13 people who will read this and have come to rely on my off-the-cuff from-the-hip free flowing band associations.

Think Hop Along (def.) meets early Rainer Maria (maybe) meets (your favorite band, doesn't matter who) and you should be on the right track towards musical transcendence.

I can't say enough nice things about Camp Cope so I'll end it here as long as you promise to get into them, OK?

*Melbourne is just 10,352 short miles from Brooklyn USA where I'm writing this from….really hope they do a jiffy weekend jaunt over here for a quick one-off so I can see them play….if they leave before rush hour traffic on Friday they should be able to make it back to work by Monday morning as planes are pretty fast these days
