((Architecture in Helsinki)) Band Profile and Upcoming SXSW Concerts - Oh My Rockness

Architecture in Helsinki

Australia's Architecture in Helsinki play quick, quirky and clever pop songs. Who knows how many people are actually in this band, but calling the guys and girls in this band a "collective" is about as safe as using a metaphor in a band profile. There're a bunch of people making a whole bunch of sounds here... horns, organs, strings and all sorts of percussion.

Their mostly-twee songs should be appreciated by fans of bands like The Boy Least Likely To and The Go! Team. This is definitely optimistic rock. (Man, I sure don't get bands today. Mogwai titles their decidedly dark album Happy Songs For Happy People and AIH names their happy album In Case We Die. Why can't people just say what they mean!)
