((Lull)) Band Profile and Upcoming SXSW Concerts - Oh My Rockness

Written by Patrick McNamara

I will not lie. This profile on Lull is being written entirely because of one song. That song is called “Bubble Tea" and unlike bubble tea* it's really good. I'll post it for you in a minute and let you enjoy it while you break into a wide smile and say, “goddamn it, that Oh My Rockness has done it again!" (you don't have to swear if you don't want to.) But let's read some more words about this one good song first so I can justify the big $ I pay myself to blob about bands I like.

Lull are a band from London formed wayyyyyy back in 2014 featuring four lads named Toby + Jon + Filipe + Simon, respectfully. And perhaps you heard if you were paying attention to the last paragraph but they wrote a really good song called “Bubble Tea." It's a fantastic “cut" (music industry insider term for “song") off their debut full-length album set to “drop" (translation: be released) in June of __________ A.D. on Paper Cup Music (home to: Lost Boy? + The Teen Age + Bluffing + Tennis System + more bands I like and have profiled, probably).

So why is this Lull song (it's called “Bubble Tea") so good? I don't know. Why is rain so good for farmers? Why do birds suddenly appear every time you're near? Why are you even still reading this? Sometimes it's best not to attack goodness with so many questions and just embrace it. And you can hug it tightly by playing Lull's good song below. Remember: it's called “Bubble Tea." But don't play it quite yet. Show some restraint. Let it build. The release will be more euphoric if you do.

I'm sure there are more good songs where this good song came from which is Lull's debut album I was mentioning earlier in this profile while you were sleeping. And as soon as I hear more good songs besides “Bubble Tea" I'll go back and update this profile - the first time I'll ever have done that since 2004. Just remind me, please.

OK PLAY BUBBLE TEA NOW AND GET READY TO SMILE AND SWEAR YOUR APPRECIATION TO THE ALMIGHTY BLOB

*why would I want to drink tea brimming with balls graced by the texture of congealed mucus?
