((Make-Up)) Band Profile and Upcoming SXSW Concerts - Oh My Rockness

The Make-Up were a post gospel punk band from Washington D.C.

Ian Svenonius was the frontman (Nation of Ulysses / Chain and the Gang / 100 other things)

James Canty was on guitar / keys (Nation of Ulysses / Ted Leo and the Pharmacists)

Steve Gamboa did the drums (Nation of Ulysses)

Michelle Mae played bass (Weird War)

The band released four albums (Dischord / K Records) in four years (1996 / 1997 / 1998 / 1999) and played a bunch of audience-participatory shows that were pretty nuts.

The last time they played NYC was in 2012 A.D.

And now they're back.... for a few shows anyway.

Gonna be nuts.
